Beaches
The Costa Blanca or White Coast streaches south from the shores of the Valencian province of Alicante to those of Murcia. With its long beaches and turquoise water the area attracts a large number of Spanish and foreign tourists throughout the year.
They are all within easy reach from Pondo Rosa Villas, on the main Coastal road (N332). There are 38 Blue Flag beaches in the Costa Blanca Region.

Markets & Shopping
Dolores is a very pretty small busy Spanish town and only just a very short distance from Pondo Rosa Villas, it has a variety of Shops, Supermarkets, Chemists, Tavernas, Banks and Places to eat.
Dolores town square is a must see with its Church, Fountains and children’s play area. This is also where all the local Fiestas are held.
If your looking for larger shops and centres there are lots to choose from, within in few kilometres of Pondo Rosa. We have many local markets where you can grab yourself a real bargain.

Golf
The Costa Blanca South offers some of the most fantastic golf courses, even the non famous courses are challenging and of very high standard. Local to us there are several courses and we have selected a few that are the closest.
You will find they all have full facilities and the scenery as you cover the course is breathtaking.

Towns
Dolores is a beautiful town located in the Vega Baja region of Alicante. It’s just 4km from Almoradi and Catral.
Dolores is just 10km from the nearest Blue Flag beaches of La Marina and Guardamar Dolores is just 4 metres above sea level, where its fertile land has much fruit and produce for exportation and local market sales.
Dolores was founded in 1715 by the Bishop of Cartagena. He was given approximately 40,000m2 of land by the Town Halls of Guardamar and Orihuela to start a town. In 1737 the first stone of the church was laid. In 1795 there were 656 residents, now the population is close to 11,000 residents of lots of nationalities.
